Rocky

Rocky is our first bull to be collared. He was collared very recently in November 2006 with a satellite collar. At the time of the collaring Rocky was showing early signs of musth.

• Shoulder height: 3.04 m
• Age: 30-35 years
• Breeding bull
• Back foot width: 137cm
  

Movements

Over the period Rocky was collared he was associated with a small breeding herd. Over the next couple of days Rocky remained with the herd after which he split away from the herd and started venturing into Uitspan and Loensa spending most of December in the same area as Pamina, Agatha and Tuli 4 – a gathering of the collared ones! During January Rocky went on a walk about first visiting the Tuli Circle then back towards the Uitspan area and then all the way to the Motloutse River ending back along the Majale River on Mashatu at the end of January.
