Clotilda (Herd CHR) Clotilda is most likely the 2nd in command within herd CHR. The matriarch of this herd is a 40 plus year old cow, named Christina. Christina is easily recognised by her tattered ears and long tusks. Clotilda on the other hand can be identified by her one right tusk and a small notch on the top section of her left ear. The herd consists of 10-15 individuals. Holey is the youngest reproducing cow currently in the herd and can be recognised by a big hole and a small triangle close together in her left ear. During October 2005 Christina and Holey returned to Mashatu, while Clotilda and the rest of the herd remained within the Tuli Circle. Shortly after their return to Mashatu Holey gave birth. About a week after the birth Clotilda and the rest of the herd joined Christina, Holey and their families near Disappointment Koppie. The herd remained in the area for another two weeks before returning to the Tuli Circle.
This herd covers much longer distances over a big portion of the reserve. The herd similar to herd AG has three home ranges but these areas are situated higher in the reserve than the home ranges of herd AG. Once again during the months August, September and October this herd moves towards the Shashe River. Different to Tuli 2 herd CHR seems to spend a lot of time in the Tuli Circle.
