Operations Manager and Assistant Camp Manager

I did a Diploma in Personal Management and a Diploma in Travel and Tourism with the idea of wanting to do marketing. I then visited Hwange National Park for game viewing. I got very much interested In working as a ranger after seeing rangers. I did a four- year course as a Professional guide. After qualifying I worked as a as Pro-guide for 14 years at Sikumi Tree lodge. I joined Mashatu in April 2008 and l could not Guide because l did not have a Botswana guide license. I now hold a Botswana guide licence, but with hard work and commitment l have been promoted to this post.

I previously worked at Rhino Walking Safaris in the Kruger National Park as a chef /F&B in the Tented Camp and also in the Main Lodge. I started working at Mashatu Main Camp in July 2005 as Relief Catering Manager, and have been moved between camps since then. I am now based at the Main Camp once again.

I started working in Mashatu Main camp in December 2008 as an Assistant cateress. The most enjoyable part of my job is to meet different people from all over the world and learning about their cultures. Before joining Mashatu I worked at Tuli Wilderness asa cateress.

Curio shop Assistant

I started my career at Mashatu nearly 16 years ago as Head Waitress. After five years I was promoted to the position of Assistant Curio Shop Manager. The most enjoyable part of my job is getting to know people from all over the world. I have learnt so much over the years about the different countries and cultures from people visiting my shop. I also have to opportunity to share more about my culture with visitors through the curios I sell.

Head barman

I started my career as a Barman at the Grandpalm in Gaborone. Shortly after I applied for a position at Mashatu and was accepted. I have been working at Mashatu for about three years now and was promoted to Head Barman in 2007. I love working in a game reserve and meeting people from all over the world.
