TRAVELLING TO MASHATU GAME RESERVE
There are DAILY flights between O.R. Tambo International Airport ( Johannesburg) [JNB] and Polokwane Airport [PTG] and the option of either a seat-in-plane air transfer to Mashatu, or a road transfer from Polokwane.
As these flight schedules change on a regular basis please contact our central reservations office for details of the flight times.
Airlink + Charter Flight = ZAR 2600.00 nett per person one way (minimum 2 passengers)
Airlink + Road Transfer = ZAR 1750.00 nett per person one way (minimum 2 passengers)

Road Transfers to and from Mashatu
Wilro Tours offers a road transfer between Johannesburg and the Northern Tuli Game Reserve as follows:-
2008 :
ZAR 3600.00 per vehicle one way (1 - 3 passengers)
ZAR 4100.00 per vehicle one way (4 - 7 passengers)
PLEASE NOTE:
- All road and charter transfers are based on a minimum of 2 people travelling.
- Luggage on the charter flights is limited to 15 kgs per person in soft bags.
- Please note that the Pont Drift Border Post closes at 16h00. These times are strictly enforced.
- A special transfer fee of US$ 25.00 per person will be levied for transfers from and to the Limpopo Valley Airfield and the Pont Drift Border Post outside of the scheduled rendesvous time at these collection points of 10h00 and 13h00.
- Mashatu Game Reserve utilizes the services of other companies to provide the transport detailed above. As a result, Mashatu Game Reserves cannot be held responsible for any rate changes dictated by the third parties concerned (Airlink, Copper Sun and G & L Aviation)

The Border Post between South African and
Botswana at Pont Drift opens at 08h00 and closes at 16h00. Please
note these Pont Drift Border Post hours are strictly enforced
by the Botswanan Government.

Mashatu Game Reserve is a 6 hour drive from
Johannesburg (Toll fees are payable on the N1 to Polokwane -
previously known as Pietersburg).

Mashatu Game Reserve is a 7 hour drive from
Gaborone .

Please note that the rendezvous time for
collection by Mashatu rangers is 13h00 at the Pont Drift Border
Post. Variation of this time can be made by special arrangement
and at an additional special transfer fee of US$ 25.00 per person.

Guests travelling from South Africa must
clear South African immigration before being personally met by
a Mashatu representative. Transfer of guests and their luggage
to open 4-wheel drive vehicles is made at this point and all
guest vehicles are safely left within the precinct of the South
African border post.

Should the Limpopo River be in flood, transfer
across the river into Botswana is made by cable car
at an additional cost of P20.00 per person one way.

The Mashatu representatives will assist guests
through Botswana Immigration before transferring them to the
camp of their choice.
