MalaMala & Mashatu Game Reserves are delighted to announce a new direct charter flight between the two reserves, called the MALATU EXPRESS. Commencing in February 2012, this new route will enable the easy connection between the two Rattray Reserves.

Combining the diversity of the Big Five South African luxury safari, and the vast open adventurous plains of Botswana, visitors will enjoy extraordinary game viewing, professional guiding, service excellence and some of the most breath-taking scenery this side of the equator.

The above timings are subject to change should there be unforeseen delays in Polokwane. However, the pilots of the aircraft will remain in contact with both destinations to advise of the exact time of arrival at the respective airfields.

Important Notes

• The MALATU EXPRESS will be conducted in a Cessna Grand Caravan – a single engined, unpressurised turboprop aircraft.
• Minimum 2 guests / maximum 10 guests.  Please contact us for a separate quotation for groups larger than 10 guests.
• Luggage allowance : strictly 20 kg’s per person in soft bags.
• Accommodation must be confirmed for a minimum of 2 nights at Mashatu Game Reserve.
• Bookings must be confirmed 1 month prior to departure to guarantee availability.
• Guests must have the relevant visas for South Africa and Botswana.
• Guests can be collected or dropped off at another airstrip in the Sabi Sand Wildtuin at an additional cost of ZAR 250.00 per person.
• Airlink offers daily connecting flights between Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport – KMIA (MQP) and Cape Town International Airport and between KMIA (MQP) and Livingstone on Mondays, Wednesdays, Friday’s and Saturdays (from March 2012).
• Daily connecting flights between Johannesburg and Polokwane (with a connecting road transfer between Polokwane and Mashatu) are available through our central reservations office.
• Reservations must be made via email with our central reservations office.
• The following cancellation fee will apply :
  • 50% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival
  • 100% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellation fees will be refunded in the event we are able to sell the cancelled seat
